EEC is an employee owned, full-service consulting firm. It was founded in 1971 by 6 ambitious young men that had formerly worked together in the engineering department of a glulam manufacturer. Through hard work and proficiency, they quickly established themselves as leaders in the field of glulam and heavy timber engineering and detailing. They soon hired additional staff and branched out into the area of complete building design.

The standards and passion that the company was founded upon are the same today. We are committed to providing our clients an unparalleled level of service and excellence while creatively and practically achieving their vision.  The firm is now headed by  Daniel P. Seymour, PE, who has been with the company since 1999, Thomas J. Ellavsky, PE, who has been with the company since 1997 and Joel Schmechel, who started in 1998. Our staff of 5 includes:  engineers, structural drafters and support personnel. We have Professional Engineering registration in all 50 states.

Our Timber Design Team is nationally recognized for its special expertise and extensive experience in the field of glulam and heavy timber framing for buildings and bridges.

Our Building Design Team provides complete building design services.
